Having
experienced the stresses and strains placed on us by modern life, my dream was
to open a contemporary, holistic health & beauty centre based in the country which was stylish, warm, relaxing and
inviting, to provide first class treatments and outstanding personal
service, and this came to fruition in 2003.
I
strongly believe in the benefits of holistic, complementary therapies, having
experienced the power of these therapies for my personal health and that of my
family. After
years of working in the IT sector in consultancy and senior management l decided
to leave what had become a stressful existence, combining being a new mum
with a challenging job, and have a complete change of life incorporating a
career change, and move to the countryside. I followed my passion and studied for a year to gain a Diploma in Holistic Therapies which included
Anatomy & Physiology, Reflexology, Aromatherapy, Swedish Massage, Indian
Head Massage, Nutrition, Counselling, Professional Business studies and First Aid.
I decided to extend myself further by also taking the individual ITEC (International
Therapy Examination Council) examinations
in parallel and successfully gained these in additional to my VTCT (Vocational Training
Charitable Trust) Diploma.
I am also qualified to NVQ level 2 as a Beauty Therapist, and undertake regular CPD courses with the International Dermal Institute, specialists in their field of skincare, they provide an unparalleled level of expertise, and other organisations to ensure I stay current in my chosen areas of
I
am a fellow of the International Council of Holistic Therapies, and I am fully
insured under my membership of the Federation of Holistic Therapists.
